Frequently Asked Questions

At this time we only see cats and dogs.

To ensure a smooth and stress-free visit, we ask that you come prepared with a few things:

  1. A safe and accessible space for your pet – We want your pet to feel comfortable and secure while we assess them. Please have them in a calm area that we can safely access. This is especially important for cats. If a cat hides under a bed or furniture, we will not pull them out, as this can cause stress or injury. We recommend keeping them in a closed, accessible space, such as a bathroom, during the appointment.
  2. Outdoor pets – For pets normally outside, they will need to be in a fenced in area. Appointments are weather dependent. If temperatures exceed 90°F, drop below 35°F, or there is severe rain, we will need to see you pet in the home or move your appointment to our van or reschedule (fees included) to ensure your pet’s safety and comfort.
  3. Fecal and urine samples – Occasionally, we need to collect samples during the visit. To help with this, please either collect them the morning of your appointment or prevent your pet from using the bathroom for about 2 hours prior to the appointment. This improves our ability to collect samples successfully if needed.
  4. Please continue giving all of your pet’s medications exactly as previously prescribed. We also ask that you bring a list of all medications, including giving any pre-visit prescriptions, so we can review them with the doctor during your appointment.

Following these steps helps us provide the safest, most comfortable, and efficient care for your pet.

The cost of our services varies depending on your pet’s specific needs and the type of care required. Because every pet is unique, we’re unable to provide exact pricing without first seeing and examining your pet.

We do, however, strive to offer affordable and competitive pricing and are happy to review a personalized estimate with you during your appointment.

For your convenience, we invite you to view our general price list on the website to get a helpful idea of typical service costs.

We are equipped to help even the most fearful or aggressive pets in a variety of ways. Every animal receives a tailored plan to ensure their comfort and safety. This can include fear-free methods, such as special treats and gentle handling, medication given prior to a follow-up visit to make the experience calmer, or full sedation if that is what best suits your pet.

Our goal is to protect your pet from the harmful effects of stress by avoiding procedures that would be overwhelming or unsafe for them.

We do not require a deposit to book an appointment. However, we do ask that a credit or debit card be kept on file at the time of scheduling.

This card will only be charged if an appointment is canceled or rescheduled the day before or day of your appointment, in which case a $70 cancellation fee applies.

Late cancellations limit our ability to help other patients, and we appreciate your understanding and respect for our time.

At this time, we accept card payments only, including all major credit and debit cards.

We also proudly accept CareCredit to help make your pet’s care more manageable.

Many pet insurance policies work on a reimbursement system. We’re happy to provide the paperwork you’ll need to submit a claim and make the process as smooth as possible.

At this time, we cannot accept direct payments from insurance companies, such as Trupanion.

Each appointment may vary in length, but a full-length appointment generally takes about 75 minutes. Please allow extra time if we are seeing additional pets

We carry a wide selection of medications for immediate relief as well as preventive care. For chronic disease medications and certain refills, we direct you to our online pharmacy, which offers fast delivery straight to your doorstep for convenience and continuity of care.

Absolutely! However, space is limited—so we kindly ask that only one pet parent join us during the exam to keep things safe and calm for everyone.

We are equipped to address some urgent concerns, such as acute vomiting, lethargy, coughing, ear or skin issues, and similar conditions.

However, true emergencies—including respiratory distress, toxin ingestion, severe bleeding, being hit by a car, or any situation requiring immediate life-saving intervention—need to be handled at an emergency clinic. Our mobile service may not be able to reach you quickly enough in these cases.

For your convenience, we maintain a list of trusted emergency clinics on our Contact Us page.

We provide a full range of routine surgical services, including spay and neuter, mass removals, dental cleanings and extractions, and more. Additional procedures can be discussed with the doctor during your visit to determine what’s best for your pet.

We offer a variety of after end-of-life care options, including the return of your pet’s ashes. We encourage you to give us a call with any questions so we can guide you through the options and support you during this difficult time.
